P-card Works System Enhancements and Open-swim Q&A Session

Wednesday, August 24, 2016

Effective August 28, several enhancements will be available in Works®, the purchasing card (“p-card”) transaction management system.

What’s New?

  • Support for larger Receipts Imaging files for non-PDF images. Works® will now compress the image before checking that the image meets the 1MB size limitation. With the added compression, many larger images (e.g., 4 to 5MB images and larger) will now be compressed to an acceptable size for the application. Results may vary due to the complexity of the image being compressed. The ability for PDF compression will be added at a future date.

  • Additional Receipts Imaging improvements, including new links for quick access to manage receipts from the homepage and the Uploaded Receipt column in various tables.

  • New “Save and Next” button in the Allocate/Edit window will allow users to move quickly through a list of transactions when allocating.

  • New column filters for several frequently requested fields.

  • Updates to the Reset Password process to improve security. Instead of manually setting a temporary password, the application will now randomly generate a temporary password and transmit that password to the end user via secure email.

Who’s Impacted?

  • All Works® system users.
