The Materials Management department is responsible for all business contracts for the university. The university employs several purchasing agents who are assigned to specific departments to assist with purchasing needs.

The mission of Materials Management is to support the mission and goals of the University by managing the effective and efficient procurement of quality products and services at the best value from reputable vendors. We will achieve this through outstanding customer service, first-rate supply chain management, and ongoing streamlining of processes, while at all times maintaining unyielding integrity and adherence to the North Carolina State Administrative Code and UNC Charlotte’s Policy Statements.
